Using a Mixmap Tracker with MySpace 2.0

If you've recently upgraded to MySpace 2.0, you might need to make changes to your MixMap tracking code on your MySpace profile in order to track your visitors.

If you had your MySpace 1.0 profile set to private and you were using MixMap tracking option 4b in the headline section of your MySpace profile, then you will have to make a small change to your MixMap tracking code.
In MySpace 2.0, the headline section of your profile doesn't show, and you can't set your profile to private. Here's what you need to do to fix your MixMap tracker:
  1. Once you are logged into, click on the My Maps link in the top right corner of any page.
  2. In your maps section on your MixMap profile, click on the "Edit Map & Get Code" link next to the Map that you need new code for.
  3. On the next page, verify that your MySpace ID is correct (it should be if your tracker was previously working) and click on the "Get New Code" button.
  4. On the code selection page, if you still want to use hidden code, you can select either option 4a or 4b and put the the tracking code in any section of your MySpace profile. The "About Me" section works well.
