MySpace change prevents trackers from working in private profile headline -- 2/25/09

If you have a private myspace profile and your tracker code is now showing in your headline and your visitors aren't benig tracked, this is because MySpace recently made a change to the way their site is working. If you have a private MySpace profile, you won't be able to track all of your visitors until myspace makes a change on this. However, you can put the tracking code somewhere else in your profile and it will work. But it will only track visitors who are your friends.

The other solution is to make your profile public and the code will be hidden again. I'm not sure why this is only affecting private profiles, but that seems to the case. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Fixed the tracking for all visitors to private profiles -- 11/03/07

I figured out a way to allow the private tracking code option 4b to work again -- either that or myspace changed back to the way they were doing headlines before. You have to paste the code at the very end of your headline section. So, if you have a private MySpace profile you can get the private tracking code option 4b and be able to track all visitors to your profile once again.

You can find new code for your tracker on your profile page under My Maps. Next to the tracker name you will see a link to "Edit Map & Get Code". Follow that link to get your new code.

No more tracking for all visitors to private profiles -- 10/31/07

Unfortunately today MySpace changed the way that they display headlines and it will no longer work to put the mixmap tracking code in your headline (formerly tracking option 4b). If you were using this tracking option, you will have to get new tracking code for your tracker in order to continue tracking your visitors.

You can find new code for your tracker on your profile page under My Maps. Next to the tracker name you will see a link to "Edit Map & Get Code". Follow that link to get your new code.

Directions on how to install a MixMap tracker into a MySpace Photo -- 6/10/07

Finally, you can label IP addresses of people you know and block yourself from being tracked on your own tracker -- 4/3/07

At the top of any tracker view page (map, statistics, history, geo-stats, etc.), you will now see a link that reads "Tracker Settings". On that page you can block any IP addresses that you do not want your tracker to track. Many people do not wish for themselves to show up on their own tracker. Simple enough! Just enter your IP address in the box and click the "Block IP" button. Your IP address is even provided for you just below the box.

I finally got around to giving you guys the ability to give nicknames to any IP address. On the statistics view page you will now see "Enter name" in red for any person that you haven't identified yet. Simply follow that link and enter the person's name that you wish to apply to the IP address.

As always feel free to give any feedback on it or any other suggestions you have or improvments you would like to see.

New 3D Charts Added for Statistics and History Views -- 4/3/07

New Geo Statistics Pie Chart View Added -- 4/3/07

At the top of your map view, statistics view or history view page, you will now see a link to "Geo-Stats Pie Charts". The Geo-Statistics page breaks down which country, state and city all of your visitors are coming from, displays the data in 3 different pie charts.

A cool feature for the pie charts is that is that you can change the number of pieces that show up in the pie to between 2 and 15 pieces. Also, you can animate the pie pieces by clicking on them, change the view to 2D by right clicking and selecting it from the menu, and you can also rotate the pie to get a better view. Freaking awesome!

I personally think that the pie charts addition is pretty cool. As always feel free to give any feedback on it or any other suggestions you have or improvments you would like to see.
